Cheeses At The Melton Cheeseboard
We have the widest range of cheeses in the county with over 150 different varieties. Many of them are sourced in Leicestershire and the surrounding counties, as well as the best from the UK and a wide variety of continental cheese. We do not offer an online shopping service as we have found that many of our customers wish to discuss their order with a human being! We would also like to ensure that you get the cheeses you want, so please contact us at the shop for a personal service. You can pay by credit/debit card over the telephone when the order is made. Because of our commitment to local food producers, it is our policy to buy as many of our cheeses directly from the creameries, including a wide range from Long Clawson Dairy; Blue Stilton from Cropwell Bishop Creamery; Lincolnshire Poacher from F W Read & Sons; and Sparkenhoe Leicester and Bosworth Field from the Leicestershire Handmade Cheese Company. By buying directly from the cheesemakers we can guarantee the provenance of our products as well as minimising food miles.

Delivery & Other Information
Your cheese will be carefully selected from whole cheeses and cut freshly for your order. Please allow 2 working days from placing your order to despatch date.
Despatch
On receipt of your order, your cheese will be cut and wrapped to ensure freshness and packed in sturdy cardboard boxes. We despatch Monday through Thursday via courier 24-hour next day delivery service. Please ensure that there are at least 2 working days between ordering your cheese and the date you wish your cheese to be despatched. Cost of delivery is £10.00 up to 10kg in weight, per delivery address, for delivery within England and Wales, excluding Isle of Wight and Isle of Man. Terms for deliveries to Scotland are the same, excluding Highlands and offshore islands. Please contact us for carriage rates to these areas. Delivery to these areas may take up to three working days. Please ensure that whoever takes delivery of your cheese parcel remembers to refrigerate the pack immediately on receipt.
We are unable to deliver outside of mainland Britain.
Terms & Conditions
Products will be charged at the prices prevailing on the day of despatch. All weights are approximate, this is because your cheese will be cut from larger pieces and this process cannot be an exact science. Some cheeses are seasonal in their production and we may have to alter prices or offer a substitute. We will contact you in this event with an alternative suggestion to ensure your satisfaction.
If you have any concerns about the condition of your products on receipt, please notify us within 24 hours so that we can remedy the situation. Please ensure that we have the correct postcode for the despatch address, if this information is incorrect or missing it will delay the delivery of the service for which we cannot be held responsible. Please place your order for delivery in good time if the cheeses are required for a particular date or function.
